Speaker Info

Hi and thanks for your interest in having me speak!

I’m a gal with southern roots who is learning to love the Midwest more and more. Well, everything except the cold, snowy winters – brrrr!

I moved here in 2003 for ministry and have now planted roots with my husband, Mark, son, J, and one cute golden-doodle pup.

God stirred my heart with a love for the nations and for children while I was in college. I lived out the longings of my heart during my 17 years in full-time ministry to children. It was thrilling to travel to numerous countries and train and encourage nationals and expats in their ministry to children.

During the last few years of ministry, God again stirred my heart.  – this time it was to come alongside others on their journey away from busyness and rules and towards intimacy with God. God first did a work in my own heart, opening my eyes to the way busyness and service had crowded out intimacy with Him within me.

I spoke on this topic numerous times during my last few years of ministry and am now excited to dive into it full-time. I love writing, training, and speaking and am delighted to be able to use these gifts to help others. My heart is to create resources and layout clear paths that enable others to easily practice whatever is being taught. I want participants to leave with their hearts inspired and their hands equipped to put it into practice!

God’s been saying “Rest in Me.” And I’ve been saying “I hear you but I don’t know how to do that or what it looks like.” Now I understand a piece of it.

I feel like I’ve been given permission to move slowly through Scripture and that it’s ok to be a mature Christian and not have to read chapters at a time.

My view of God is changing. He’s not a cattle driver. He’s a shepherd who is drawing us.

The how-to was so practical and yet flexible enough to fit my real life.

I had written meditation off as impossible for me. But now I see I can do it.

I finally feel like I’m leaving a retreat without having one more thing to do.
