Description
God is the Creator of everything, seen and unseen. His handiwork is evident in all of creation, from the tiniest insect to the wonder of a baby developing in his mother’s womb. Children need to learn that God is the one who gets the credit for the world they enjoy. Our universe didn’t just happen. It was lovingly fashioned by our all-powerful Creator!
Children are bombarded with false messages about where the world came from, where they came from and what purpose they have. They need to learn that God thought about them, made them with his own hands, and loves them more than they can imagine. When they understand these truths, they can treat God as their Creator by praising him and doing the good works he designed for them to do.
The daily and weekly activities in this devotional are designed to help children treat God as their Creator and see the purpose he has for their life.
God is My Creator! helps children treat God as their Creator as they:
- Learn God thought of everything when he made the world
- Explore the many ways in which God made them unique and special
- Develop a thankful heart toward God who formed them like a potter forms clay
- Discover that God enjoys them
- Start to enjoy God, praise him and do the things he created them to do
This 4-week devotional includes daily activities to engage the child in the content and a final activity to help the child engage personally with God.
Bonus Leader’s Guide also available! This guide prepares you for a 10-15-minute weekly conversation with the child. The emphasis is to provide support and encouragement as the child pursues a personal relationship with God. Each weekly guide includes prompts for:
- Understanding the Content
- Asking a Question
- Telling a Personal Story
- Praying Over the Child

I love how interactive this devotional book is. It is written in a way that really gets kids thinking about who God is as the Creator and marveling about what He has done. As they work through this devotional, children will be encouraged to develop habits of prayer, praise, and worship that can last for the rest of their lives!
